Prince Harry is set to return to the United Kingdom on September 8, 2025, to attend the 20th anniversary of the WellChild Awards, coinciding with the third death anniversary of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.

The Duke of Sussex, who has been a WellChild patron since 2007, expressed his excitement about the event:

“I am always privileged to attend the WellChild Awards and meet the incredible children, families, and professionals who inspire us all with their strength and spirit,” Harry said in a statement.

Harry’s brief visit to London has sparked speculation about whether he will reconnect with the British royal family, especially as his relationship with his father, King Charles III, and brother, Prince William, has reportedly deteriorated. The Duke has admitted that he currently has limited communication with his father, citing tensions following the publication of his memoir and ongoing legal battles with British tabloids.

Since stepping back from royal duties in 2020, Harry has lived in California with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their two children. His rare UK visits have primarily centered around charity engagements and court hearings.

Despite strained family ties, Harry expressed hope earlier this year for reconciliation, although security concerns remain a barrier to bringing his family to Britain.
