“Rawalpindi Horror: Husband & Teenage Son Arrested for Brutally Killing Woman and Trying to Bury Her Secretly”
In a shocking incident, police in Rawalpindi arrested a man and his teenage son on charges of brutally murdering his wife and attempting to secretly bury her in their hometown of Kot Addu.
The victim, 36-year-old Samina Bibi, suffered severe head injuries and was admitted to Rawalpindi Teaching Hospital on August 10. Her husband, Amir Abbas, initially told medical staff that she had fallen down the stairs. However, according to hospital records, she tragically passed away on August 13 due to the fatal injuries.
Without informing her parents, Abbas arranged the funeral and transported the body to Kot Addu for burial. However, female relatives noticed multiple injury marks on the body, which raised suspicions. Her father, Ghulam Akhtar, was informed, and the police were called.
Akhtar filed a complaint with Dhamiyal Police, alleging that Abbas killed his daughter with the assistance of his 17-year-old son, Muhammad Zaman. He revealed that his daughter had married Abbas against the family’s wishes 19 years ago and had three children.
Police reports state that Abbas and his son even threatened the victim’s relatives when they tried to intervene. The body was later moved back to Rawalpindi for a postmortem examination. Both suspects have now been arrested and presented before a court, which granted three days of physical remand for further investigation.
SP Sadar Muhammad Nabil Khokhar confirmed that more proceedings will continue once the investigation is completed.
This incident highlights the urgent need to address domestic violence cases in Pakistan and ensure justice for victims like Samina Bibi.
