Pakistan Reaffirms Unwavering Support for Palestine: PM Shehbaz Sharif Meets Palestinian Delegation

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday reiterated Pakistan’s firm and unconditional support for the Palestinian cause during a meeting with Advisor to the President of Palestine on Religious Affairs and Chief Justice of the Shariat Court, Mahmoud Siddiqui Alhabash, who called on him in Islamabad with a high-level delegation.

The Prime Minister extended his warm regards to President Mahmoud Abbas and assured that Pakistan will continue to stand by the people of Palestine, who have made immense sacrifices and are bravely resisting ongoing Israeli aggression. He further highlighted that Pakistan will keep dispatching humanitarian aid to Gaza, where civilians are suffering due to what he termed a man-made famine imposed by Israeli occupation forces.

During the meeting, the Palestinian side expressed deep gratitude to the people and Government of Pakistan for their unflinching support at all forums. They also offered condolences over the recent floods in Pakistan, showing solidarity during the nation’s difficult times.

A letter from President Mahmoud Abbas was officially handed over to PM Shehbaz Sharif on the occasion. The delegation, which included the Imam of Al Aqsa Mosque and the Palestinian Ambassador to Pakistan, is in Islamabad to attend the Seerat Conference.
