🌊 Hadiqa Kiani Urges Immediate Evacuation as Devastating Floods Threaten Punjab, Sindh & KPK

Pakistan is facing a catastrophic flood crisis, with thousands of families at risk as torrential rains and overflowing rivers devastate large areas. Renowned singer and humanitarian Hadiqa Kiani has issued an emotional appeal to residents living along the Ravi, Sutlej, and Chenab river belts to evacuate immediately for their safety.

In a heartfelt video message shared on Instagram, Kiani urged:

“Pakistan is going through a difficult time. Floods are ravaging the country, KPK, Sindh, and Punjab are on high alert. Water levels are constantly rising, and those living near the Ravi, Sutlej, and Chenab must take these alerts seriously and move to safer areas with their valuables.”

🚨 Government Issues Urgent Alerts

Authorities have declared a state of emergency, urging residents in vulnerable settlements to relocate to safer zones. The Pakistan Army has been deployed in eight districts, including Lahore, Kasur, Narowal, and Faisalabad, as rising waters displace hundreds of thousands of people.

According to Dawn News (source), Punjab’s river belts have been inundated due to excessive rainfall and water released from Indian dams, worsening the situation. The Express Tribune (source) reports that over 150,000 people and 35,000 livestock have been moved to safety, while relief efforts are ongoing around the clock.

🌧️ Humanitarian Crisis & Relief Efforts

Large parts of Punjab remain submerged, destroying agricultural lands and sweeping away livestock. UN-OCHA states that this year’s monsoon death toll is already nearly three times higher than last year’s.

Kiani, known for her Vaseela Campaign launched during the 2022 Balochistan floods, continues to raise awareness and support for victims. In 2022, Balochistan’s floods claimed over 225 lives and damaged 26,000+ homes, as reported by PDMA Balochistan.

For those willing to help, various NGOs and welfare organizations are actively collecting donations to provide emergency supplies, food, and shelter for displaced families.

📝 Final Thoughts

This year’s devastating floods highlight Pakistan’s vulnerability to extreme weather events. Citizens in flood-prone regions must remain alert and prioritize safety above all else.
