According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Islamabad received 23mm of rain at Saidpur, 12mm at Zero Point, 4mm at Bokra, and 3mm at Golra. In Rawalpindi, the rainfall was recorded at 16mm in Shamsabad, 13mm in Chaklala, 9mm in New Kattarian, 7mm in Gawalmandi, 4mm in Pirwadhai, and 6mm at Katcheri.

The Met Office further stated that a deep depression over the northeast Arabian Sea has intensified into a cyclonic storm, expected to move west-northwest. In addition, a westerly wave affecting northern regions of Pakistan will intensify by Saturday evening.

  • Flash Floods & Landslides: Local streams and nullahs in Dir, Swat, Shangla, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Murree, Galliyat, Islamabad/Rawalpindi, and Kashmir face risk of flash floods and landslides.
  • Snowfall Expected: Higher mountain regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir may experience early snowfall, dropping temperatures significantly.
