Prince William Has ‘Unique’ Vision for Reign, But Harry Remains a Royal ‘Liability’ — Expert Opinion

Renowned royal commentator Kinsey Schofield recently made intriguing remarks about the future of the British monarchy. In an interview with Fox News Digital, she claimed that Prince William envisions a distinctly modern and stable reign as king, one in which he feels Prince Harry represents more of a liability than an asset.

“Harry will raise his children in the United States, strangers to their cousins. King Charles just wants peace, but I believe Prince William is checked out,” Schofield said.

The expert emphasized William’s commitment to safeguarding the monarchy’s legacy while positioning himself as a forward-thinking monarch:

“He has unique plans for his reign. He [wants to] be a good king, and Harry is a liability.”

Addressing the deep-seated rift, Schofield noted that trust between Prince Harry and the royal family has eroded significantly.

“It’s too little too late. Harry opens Spare by revealing that King Charles begged him and his brother not to ‘make my final years a misery.’ I find this so heartbreaking now that we know of the King’s cancer. The Oprah interview, Spare, the Netflix series — it’s just too much hurt.”

These remarks come ahead of Prince Harry’s arrival in London on September 8, 2025, for the WellChild Awards — an annual ceremony celebrating the courage and resilience of children with serious illnesses, one that Harry has long supported.
