The 1500th Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) is being celebrated today (Saturday) across Pakistan with immense religious zeal, devotion, and respect. In Rawalpindi, two central processions are set to begin at 9 AM, continuing late into the night, filling the city with the recitation of naats, durood, and praises of the Holy Prophet ﷺ.
Processions and Religious Activities
The processions will move through the main routes of the city, where participants will be showered with rosewater and petals, symbolizing love and reverence. Reception camps have been permitted only with official NOCs, while stalls offering milk, tea, drinks, and food are allowed along the routes to serve participants.
Security and Administrative Measures
Authorities have implemented strict security protocols to ensure peaceful celebrations. Prohibited activities include the display of weapons, political flags, slogans, loud music, donkey carts, and the parking of heavy vehicles. Hospitals across the city have been placed on emergency alert, with all doctors, nurses, and paramedics directed to remain available. Additionally, a contingent of the 111 Brigade will remain on standby to assist in case of emergencies.

Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ, observed on the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, marks the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and holds immense spiritual and cultural significance for Muslims worldwide. This year’s celebration is historic, being the 1500th commemoration, adding greater importance to the day.
